Steve, there are two ways to get MIDI into Sonar. If you are importing it from the file menu you will lose all tempo changes. This is set up this way so any MIDI you import will match the already set tempo in Sonar.

The other way is to first set your file associations in Windows. Set both MID and MIDI file associations to default to Sonar. You do this in settings in Win 10. Now click on the BiaB MIDI song and it will open Sonar and bring in the BiaB song WITH your tempo changes. You will have to open your GM synth, probably TTS-1 and assign your tracks to it. You probably already know that you can do this all at once via the Ctr key.
