That's a trick i never realized existed, real time saver too. PS it works with Cubase too, and also imports bar-count changes and song name. But there's no need to reset MID files defaulting to Sonar though in Windows settings, as you can also right click on a MID file and select some other program, if you don't want Sonar to start with every Midi file. I'd prefer to listen to a download with something simpler, like Windows media player or other quickie. Thanks for the tip .... F The only time I change MIDI file associations is when I import a MIDI song into Sonar. Then I change it back to Windows Media Player. A PITA for sure but that is the only way to save the tempo track when importing MIDI.
