Ian, You don't say when you got BIAB 2017, but if it's been sitting around for a little while, it would pay to download the latest update and manually install it. The update can be found at... http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htmPlug in your USB drive and double-click on the update exe file to get it running. When it gets to the path section, you'll need need to point the update installation to your USB drive. Out of curiosity, what antivirus software do you use? It could also pay to exclude the \bb and \Realband directories from being checked by the software. Regards, Noel
