Sounds great, Russell! Welcome to the community of people who use BIAB to write music! (If this is a belated greeting, it's only because I haven't been on the forum much lately.)

This was the first song that I tried working on after buying BIAB UltraPAK last Christmas (2016), after a break from music for about 15+ years and my first experience of Real Tracks.

yeah, BIAB eases the transition between years of not playing music and getting reconnected to that primal urge to make music! Good choice! There are lots of music-making programs out there, but I think you chose the best one...

It's basically a straight out-of-the-box Real Band country or bluegrass style (I can't remember which) plus added guitar, synth pad, vocals and the little cymbal splashes in the chorus. The great thing about using the Real Band style was that it includes things (e.g. the little fiddle 'chugs') that would be outside of my knowledge and appreciation of country music and so I would never have put in otherwise, but they're great!

indeed, using a whole style (as opposed to mixing and matching various tracks) can result in added synergy sometimes!

The 'keen of ear' might discern the little guitar distortion on the main fiddle solo - it's the rocker in me, I just couldn't help myself - but I think this ties it all back a bit to the original hooligan madness of the song from all those years ago.

If that fiddle solo was the result of a single generation, I'd have to give you (and PGMusic) a big thumbs up! It sounded awesome! And you can add my name to the list of people who liked the distortion you added to the fiddle!

Hope you like it and, as always, I look forward to reading your comments and feedback. I guess I'd better write a brand new song next....

yes, I enjoyed it! Looking forward to hearing more
