I've had a look at the 'Bar Settings' option where one sets Realtrack changes mid-song and the menu does not include the options for normal, half-, double-time. It would be worth trying the following...

1. Choose the initial Realtrack and set it to double-time.

2. On some bar later in the song, choose the same Realtrack.

3. Generate the song and see if the Realtrack changes timebase.

In the meantime, you should make a request in the Wishlist forum to include these timebase settings in "Bar settings | Realtrack" dialogue box so that they can be set mid-song. How easy this would be from a programming perspective, I have no concept but it's a good idea of yours given that many of the Realtracks are now listed as doubletime and halftime.
