One thing you need to make sure of is that you didn't mix and match MIDI and RealTracks tracks. You can't start with a MIDI piano track, for example, and then switch to a RealTracks piano track (and vice versa).

So if your base style is:

RealTracks (Bass) --- the multistyle needs to also be a ---> RealTrack
RealDrums (Drums) --- the multistyle needs to also be a ---> RealTrack
RealTracks (Piano) --- the multistyle needs to also be a ---> RealTrack
RealTracks (Guitar) --- the multistyle needs to also be a ---> RealTrack
MIDI (Strings) --- the multistyle needs to also be a ---> MIDI track
