I understand. This is because the tempo is associated with styles and not the loaded 'song' on the chord chart and is normal behavior for Biab. Whether it's the chord chart song that's loaded or the Stylepicker Styles, the tempo is not associated with the song on the chord chart. The tempo is associated with the style.

In the instance of where you have loaded a new song in the chord chart, and the current song tempo (119) shows in the filter as 119 and in the drop down menu as the current song tempo...(119), but the data base did not update is because StylePicker did not automatically make a tempo choice for you nor did it generate a new search. StylePicker is waiting for you to make a selection to tell it whether your interest in with a Stylea at 85 or 119 or a completely different tempo. Since the tempo is associated with Styles and the Style cannot be changed from the Chord Chart, no search has been generated. Parameters have to be set before StylePicker will generate a search, Otherwise, it only repeats the current search. If you click on the Current Tempo (119) choice in that drop down menu, the database will immediately adjust to the search results for the 119 tempo.

And, from this drop down menu, you can select any of the preset tempo's listed, or the 'any tempo' selection (which will display your entire database) or a different choice from the current song tempo to any specific tempo you choose ( Custom ). For instance, you may anticipate changing the current loaded song tempo from 119 to 112, you can adjust the search parameter at this time from 119 to 112. This where my BIAB not making a 'choice' comment comes from so hopefully I haven't again offended anyone. Again, none is intended. Because no new search has been generated, StylePicker doesn't know whether to use 85 or 119 since tempo is associated with styles and not the (loaded) current song.

You choose what will happen to your 'song' (the loaded chord chart) tempo by how you leave the StylePicker page after you've made any style and tempo adjustments. According to how you leave the page and return to your chord chart determines if no changes are made or if any changes are made to the 'song' tempo and style associated with your chord chart.

The chord chart tempo and style can stay the same and no change occurring, you can have a new style with the chord chart tempo not changing, you can have a new style and the chord chart tempo change to the new style default tempo, you can have a new style and the chord chart tempo change to a different tempo you've set in the StylePicker tempo box, or you can have a change in chord chart tempo only.
