@pipeline: thx for the nice suggestion, but being a problem every user should encounter, I think pgmusic should correct this for everyone.
The reasons I am so mad about it are:

  • The tracks are really cooking: every user who's into practicing jazz would enjoy this fast bebop playing.
  • There's so little variety in the rhythm sections. Being into jazz, I get tons of "different styles", but with often the same drum and bass lines. If you're a pianist or guitarist, that's too bad and is tiring. There must be 40 jazz waltz styles in the 100-160 BPM range, but only 4 different drum and bass lines. After practicing chorus after chorus for years on a daily basis and you hear the bass or drums play the same old licks, it makes you want to break something.
  • It's a problem that is easily fixed. Maybe I could fix it, using Pipeline's suggestion in Ableton
  • Pg music has the luxury of hiring top musicians, so the product should be every bit,as excellent as their playing. Which it mostly is! Just not here.

@Jim Fogle: Thx for the suggestion. I thought they picked up on the forum discussions and, since it's easy to reproduce (just a song with a b-section, works every time, or should i say: fails every time) I guessed this wasn't needed. But maybe there should be some kind of a procedure for it. I'd gladly welcome a form where you can upload songs to signal problems.

Sorry for the harsh tone, just a little frustrated here, smile
