Oh yeah! We've always liked those early Beatle songs that were so obviously influenced by the Every Brothers.
For us you've, intentionally or not, nailed that feeling.
And along with the feeling is a fine write, vocal performance and production.
Nice!!

Bob....
Honestly, I'm not much of a love song kinda guy. But....I know what you are capable of from previous listens so I just gave a listen.
This is a good song. I like the mix, your vocal is up front, smoothly sung and well performed. In fact, there's a melodic vocal smoothness that reminds me of the song "How Long" by Ace back in '74. (that's a compliment :))
The only aspect that does not appeal to me is the vocalizing 'la la's' at the end. I think it would sound much better if you just repeated: "Love conquers all, they say Just give it one more day Before you throw it all away"....then end on that or as you see fit. Or, the same melodic line but by an axe or other lead instrument.
I hope you receive my comments as intended.....respectfully., This is just my take on a good tune.
Well done Bobeth......I like it. Wayne, Thanks for the comments. The "la-las" at the end were just ad-libbed. Penny hates them too! Regards, Bob

Bob,
A very enjoyable song - the feeling of the melody is so "up" I hardly noticed that the lyrics have a sad side.Your voice (especially in the upper register) sounds great.
Robert Robert, Appreciate the listen. Regards, Bob

I just think they don't fit and actually detract from the song's cool vibe/performance. Did I mention I thought it was a cool song? Thanks for responding.....back to it.

Bob,
That "took me back" to my earliest memories of music listening - AM radio hits that we listened to all day over and over like they were the most important thing in life... simpler times...
Brought back "Freddie and The Dreamers", "The Dave Clark Five", "Gary Lewis and the Playboys"... and like those AM hits, this sticks in my head well after listening... (2:31 - the right length, too). Where is Dick Clark when you need him?
Nice acoustic guitar work in this.
fj floyd, This one is a throw-back to those times. Thanks for listening and commenting. Regards, Lefty

HI Bob,
Couldn't agree more with what's already been said. Just about everyone beat me to the Everly Brothers analogy. Also, I agree with Floyd's suggestion of Garey Lewis and the Playboys.
Great vocal harmony and hillert guitar! Everything about this is a joy!
Best to you,
Alan Al, Thanks for the listen. Appreciate it. Regards, Bob

Very nice.... it took me back, as Floyd said, to the AM radio hit days. Gary Puckett, 1910 FGC, Tommy James, and the other teen pop music makers of the day. And the time length was a perfect fit also at 2:31 running time. Herb, Thanks for the listen and kind remarks. Regards, Bob

Hi Bob.
Yeah, I'm with Scott on this one and all the others who spotted the Everly Bros influence in there - not hard to miss. Very tight sync between the vocal and harmony.
Great track and a very authentic 60s radio sound, right down to the La La ending.
Lots of fun!
Cheers, ROG. ROG, Thanks for the kind words. That Everly/Early Beatle sound was what I was aiming at - with that live feel. Regards, Bob

Kenny Bob, This is great! I've quoted Kenny because he said exactly what I was thinking as I listened. You took me back to the sound of some my earliest musical memories. I really enjoyed the song. All the best, Noel Noel, Thanks for the listen. Appreciate it. Regards, Bob
