How great would that be fellow BiaB users???? Imagine if 2018 came with all or mostly all RT as SFZ ??? Our need for external sound libraries would mostly diminish, Right? Could it be done? Well, I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of the few one that came with 2017, but we need more! Why would users be the one to have to do it? It's not that hard after all, but when and if PG -Music would do it, we could count on it would be the best, right?

I don't think that is possible. Real Tracks don't allow the user to control them like a virtual instrument. You can't just pop in a guitar track and control each note, the real track does itself because it is played by real people, hints the name Real Track.

Trygve what you are talking about is already available in MIDI and MIDI sound sources. RTs are not MIDI sound sources so what you are suggesting is not possible.
Also if BiaB came with excellent MIDI sound sources the program would cost thousands of dollars as good sound sources are expensive, especially if BiaB wanted them for all 128 GM sounds.
OK, a random thought; Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

You have the RealTrack playing but you would like it to play the notes you want in a section, rather than using Melodyne to try and stretch the notes you can use midi with the same instrument that was used to record the RealTrack originally, that has been sampled to an SFZ instrument, if you look in the Biab SFZ you will find some that have already been sampled:

You had better be careful now Trygve. My wife says I am the king of la-la-land
Haha, if u r the king there, I will invade it... and deport u...

Got it, I think. SFZ is using a sound from a RT and using it as a MIDI sound source. Right?
Unless I am the one have invaded the la-la-land, u r right.. And that was the reason I posted the Idea that RT is an ideal source to make Sound Fonts from, but it needs to be made in a proper way, and I guess some of the staff in PG-Music is the one to made the one that we got with 2017, that I use a lot...
Seems like there is a need for a clarification on the matter?

No I got it. This is a good idea for those who use RTs and want to add a lead or harmony to a RT via MIDI.
A workaround would be to sample a sound from an RT, convert it to a soundfont with Creative's Vienna:
Back a few years ago when SF2s were the big thing I used to chop wavs, usually a number of them to cover a better range of the instrument without artifacts, then use Vienna to make a SF2. Thus I know it works but off course I forgot how to do it!
Note that Vienna is an old program and may or may not work with today's computers. You may have to use compatibility mode.
There are probably other methods out there but I just remembered about Vienna.

The guy who makes Synthfont (Kenneth Rundt) also makes a utility called Viena (one "n") to be somewhat of a "Vienna" clone that you can use to make sound fonts. The original Vienna (as I recall) requires you to have a SoundBlaster Soundfont compatible card to work, whereas Viena doesn't care. You can download it from the Synthfont site.

I'm not on the newest BIAB/RB where folks are using the new SFZ content (I'm way back on 2015). So, I just assumed this was already shipping, so ignore if this is obsolete....
I've always liked the sound of Oliver Gannon's electric guitar, for example on "RT1086: Guitar, Electric, Soloist JazzSwing Sw 110"
If there were an SFZ derived from the notes played in this RealTrack, that would be great! Pop an SFZ MIDI track in, go into Notation window, make up your own breaks using Oliver's tone and "Bob's your uncle!"
There's probably tons of existing BIAB WAV material that would be great source material for a project like that, on all kinds of solo instruments.
Again, I just assumed that PG Music was shipping this content now. Is that not the case?

I don't think so. My army is bigger that your army
Haha, have u forgotten I am an old Norwegian viking? Vikings did not care about how big army there was, they invaded anyway...

Yes, u r right in that Chris. It came in 2017, Included with 31 soundfonts, all made from RT, if I am not wrong, or stil in La-La-Land. Time for u to upgrade?
I have not used all yet, but the one I have used, sounds pretty close to RT...
