I often do a pitch or tempo adjustment to my tracks. RB crashes when attempting this with a mono wav. 2016 works perfectly. I reported this in December when it came out and I bought the 17 update. I reported again in May.. and now again in June. How can they not just use the same code in that one instance to fix this? I have to use 2016, wasting my purchase of the upgrade
Like rharv, I cannot reproduce this either. It works as expected.
My system, settings and process were...
1. mono wav file 16 bit, 44.1 kHz
2. Windows 7
3. MME was my audio driver
4. I clicked on the track and then used CTRL+A to select it
5. Next I right-clicked on the selected track and chose "Audio effects | Pitch shift"
A couple of thoughts that occurred to me...
a) Have you tried running RB in administrator mode? (i.e. right-click on the start-up short cut and select "Run as administrator")
b) As a test, if you are using an ASIO driver, try changing to MME under "Options | Preferences | Audio | Audio driver type" and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks rharv. I didn't think to try that one. It works fine for me as well. When I ran it, it went ahead and shifted the pitch and stretched the time without a hitch.
I didn't see the reply here. Windows 7 and a high powered computer using Intel processor and 12 GB RAM. I made a video of what happens but basically I import wav file, highlight it, right click and choose the time stretch pitch shift, I disable time stretch and select pitch shift to usually minus 1 . THen I execute it and get the pop ups.. yellow popup upper right says "1 consolidated files to process" and a popup in the middle says "Converting Sample Rate" .. that's where it hangs until I use task manager to close the program, then install RB2016 and execute the above successfully
Is the track indeed consolidated? If you hover over the left info area a popup with some data should show 1 Event on the track. If not, try consolidating the track from beginning to end to make it one big 'chunk' of audio.
