BIAB 2012.5 Can't install Coyote Forte DXI anymore. Says that plugin not valid plugin.
Also states that only 32bit will work not 64 bit. I have windows 10 64bit system.
Just a few months ago it worked fine...
also states that BIAB cant connect with the CoyoteWT

The problem may be the latest 64-bit Win 10 Pro update. I had MS 97 Office's Access running perfectly until the latest Win 10 update. Now it will not even load. I have to look into it further.
PS - Office 97 is also a 32-bit program.
Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

I would suggest going into Control Panel, selecting Programs and Features, and then uninstalling Coyote WT and Coyote Forte.
Then I would just try re-installing them both again (you should run the installers "as administrator" to be sure it writes correctly to the Windows registry). And then just re-enter your Coyote Forte serial number when you first bring it up in BIAB.
Both work fine on my two Windows 10 PCs.

Uninstalling and reinstalling would take all of about 5 minutes (unless you have to track down the files and license code, then it might be 6 minutes).

Reinstalled the Coyote WT from BIAB harddrive. Check.
Still can't get the ForteDXI to work anymore.

I just tested both Biab and RB using the Coyote WT and the Forte DXI, both work fine.
My System shows Win 10 Version 1703.

Both Coyotes are strictly a 32-bit DXi (whether you install it on a 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows machine).
And of course, BIAB is strictly a 32-bit application.
You are accessing it from the drop down of available instruments right, not trying to load them as a VSTi DLL?

Hi,
It sounds like you're using the "Add VST Plugin" command, and are getting the "Not a valid VST Plugin" message, which is true. Coyote make DXi synths, not VSTi.
If you hit the Options button in the Plugins window, you'll find "Scan for new DX Plugins" and "Register a new DX plugin" commands, that's what you'll use if they're not showing up automatically.

This brings up a good point for folks to remember.
A DX(i) instrument or effect, while working very similarly to a VST(i) instrument or effect (and in fact, some companies make equivalent versions in both formats), are loaded very differently.
DX/DXi, while still created as a DLL file, are entered into the Windows registry when you install them (and you have to install them). Then, an application that support DX/DXi instruments effects queries the registry to see what is available and the registry entries provides the information about what and where to load the effect.
VST/VSTi effects and instrumetns don't necessarily need to be "installed" (although many are, but usually for licencing/authorizing purpose). But they must be loaded manually one DLL at a time. Yes, many DAW's automate that for you by scanning available VST/VSTi's and creating a list of the ones available, but in the end, it is just loading the VST/VSTi. They may also use the registry, but it is generally after you load them to check for things like whether you are authorized to load them.
There are more differences, but that gives an idea of why it was working. You can't load a DX/DXi as a VST/VSTi and vice versa.
