You can get Reaper Download it is free to try n try, it is very smooth and responsive and you won't get crashes like RB. Sonar and I think most other DAWs have a similar approach to fade ins and outs as Reaper's technique. In Sonar I fade in and out each individual instruments where I want, bounce the entire song to one stereo wav, then fade out the ending. I find this workflow works best for me but YMMV.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
