Hi Pat,

our singer used to be a teacher in a school for disabled children. His colleague (now our lead guitarist who is still working at this school) had the idea to plan a revue for the 50th anniversary of the school only with songs of 1966, where all the pupils and teachers of the school could take part. So he asked us to play 14 titles for the show while the school band played three titles.
We played the show two times.
Because it was so much fun my friends and me decided to carry on. So we are practising different titles (Long Train Running (Doobie Brothers, Simply The Best (Tina Turner), For Sentimental Reasons (Nat King Cole), Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Dialogue (Chicago), Smooth Operator (Sade)
Spinning Wheel (Blood Sweat And Tears), I heard it through the grapevine (Marvin Gaye)) and we are going to keep some of the old ones.
We'll have a gig in December and two gigs in May next year.
It shouldn't be more because it shouldn't be stressful.
As I already said I'm still lurking on the forum and I'm always delighted when there is a new song by one of my favorites.
