My latest tune composed within the last week. Kapapa Island waltz. Just stuck an imaginary pin in Google maps and came up with the name grin
I DO hope I've managed to capture the Hawaiian flavour with the backong here.
In my opinion the pedal steel from BIAB gives the tune a fantastic lift.

RealTracks in song: ~1121:Bass, Acoustic, CountryWaltz Sw 085
RealTracks in song: ~~2053:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking CountryWaltzBrent Sw 085
RealTracks in song: ~824:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Country Waltz Sw 085
RealTracks in song: 2673:Pedal Steel, Rhythm Hawaiian Waltz Sw 085

Kapapa island waltz

You definitely managed to call on that Hawaiian feel! It feels like listening to an old record in the beginning, then around 0:58 it sounds like you step outdoors. <3 I love it.

I originally clicked on the song because I thought you were talking about Kappas! I was rather curious, I have to admit. This was not what I was expecting, but I think this is a lot more lovely than coming face-to-face with a kappa! =P

I really am getting attached to the sound of that lap steel. I have started to look for one. Tom Adams places a pedal steel in the forum on some his tunes as well. I have used some of the pedal steel real tracks on some of my tunes as well. I think the slide guitar adds so much to the tune. Well done

Beautiful, Graham! Very easy to listen to, relaxing. You may need to trade your kilt for a grass skirt. I'm imagining the visual. lol

Thanks a million Ember, as I said, I think the Hawaiian steel from biab real tracks really sets off the whole tune

Graham,

It is a wise idea to decide the location name in the title by using the Google map wink

Beautiful and atmospheric! Fantastic lapsteel guitar play! I have never been to Hawaii and you gave me a chance to visit there ... in my imagination.

Don If I was ever in a grass skirt, I'd be thrown in a funny farm for sure.

I reckon my chances of hitting the lotto are roughly the same if I buy a ticket or not.

We've been fans of the lap steel for years. I think I first paid attention to it on Jackson Browne's early recordings.

And it hard to go wrong with a waltz.

We enjoyed the composition and the performance!
