Yep.... Learn a DAW and use it.

However, there are certain DAW's that are better at things than others and not all have the same features and functions.

I like and use Sonar. It does what I need it to do for me and how I work and record.

If you use GarageBand, Logic, Cubase, or anything else and it works well for you, then that's all that should matter.
