As my use of PG software has evolved I find I am using more midi tracks when Real Tracks aren't the best fit for various reasons (tempo, playing style, too many cymbal crashes etc). I recently needed just a single midi track for a piano part. I found a way to convert the entire tune in BIAB but the midi out put included all the trac - even muted parts? Once imported into Sonar it took time to delete unwanted tracks. Similar problems when I attempted the same with RB. Am I missing something?

If not I hope that future PG music generation products will allow every instrument or track to be exported as single or selected tracks in all formats including audio and or midi. Standardized cut and paste would also work if it can work with other applications like Sonar. This did not work for me.

Along the same lines it seems that BIAB and RB could be made into single or companion products that work together with memory swapping similar to but better than Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements. When RB first came out I saw it as a replacement for Power Tracks. I now see RB as a logical extension companion product for BIAB. I hope PG will put their resources into their obvious strength - music generation!

Any one agree?
