You Never Know About LoveI couldn't sleep last night, so this is what I was doing between 2:00am and 5:30am. It's just a simple little Jazz thing that's, hopefully, a little bit of fun. The lyric came to me pretty quickly - about 45 minutes total. I did the vocal in one take and mixed it and this is what I ended up with. I had Steve Tyrell in mind as I put this together. He's my favorite Jazz vocalist. If you're not familiar with him, he's the guy who sang the soundtrack to the movie, "Father Of The Bride".
It was a pretty tough day yesterday - Diana's health took a serious setback, our daughter had surgery a couple days ago and is having complications, and a few other things. Writing songs is a good stress reducer for me. Hope you like it a little bit. Thanks for the listens!!!

You Never Know About Love

(v1)
It can build you up, it can tear you down
Take your heart and turn it all around
One thing’s for sure, you never know about love
Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s cold
It might be timid, or it might be bold
It’s a sure-fired bet, you never know about love
CHORUS
The heart’s a fickle thing
Like weather in the spring
Will it be sunshine or rain from above
Surprises all around
Discoveries to be found
You just never know about love
(v2)
It can make you stop, or it can make you go
But often times you just don’t know
But it’s always true, you never know about love
You might know the time, you might know the date
Know if you’re early or if you’re late
It’s a mystery, you never know about love
CHORUS
