I’m having a bit of trouble following this, but I can offer a few ideas to start.

Your problem is not from MME. Choosing the MME driver for BIAB allows you to start other audio programs. I do this all the time.

Your problem is not likely from ASIO4ALL because that’s not really ASIO, just a wrapper for WDM (read MME). However, ASIO4ALL drivers don’t always work with all software.

If you choose ASIO for the audio output of BIAB, then it is highly likely you will have trouble loading another audio program that also uses ASIO. There are exceptions.

So, I’m puzzled by your findings. I recommend you try the MME setting for BIAB and then diagnose other problems as you find them. But this is a good forum to continue the discussion because it starts with your loading BIAB.
