What a lovely song. I can definitely tell that it was made on a pensive night, or a "night of reflection" as you say. It has a certain feeling to it that reminds me of looking back on older days. You really utilized the realtracks in a beautiful way. Congrats!

This has a very pretty melody that captures the mood you describe.

Your composition, "The Past", seems to combine seamlessly the simple, direct emotional impact of a country ballad such as Skeeter Davis' "End of the World", with the dreamy, "pop" blues appeal of a host of songs written during the late 50's to the 60's, from The Platters' "I Only Have Eyes For You" to The Beatles' "If I Fell (In Love With You").
