Here's the deal: We normally want to play lead-in with visible metronome showing "1--2--1-2-3-4" so we can start playing in sync with backing track. But for some songs, I like to do the long intro verse rubato, with just guitar & vocal. Then have track come in on the chorus with bass & drums. For these songs I would like to NOT have lead-in/metronome, as it is very hard to anticipate just where to start the lead-in to come in at the right time. I have a foot pedal for starting song using the "Pause Play Until..." function. Is there a way to override the global setting for lead-in/metronome for a song? Either some setting that can be saved with the song. Or some keystroke I could assign to a pedal (3-pedal unit). Or some other way? I can find ways to do it that involve a few keystrokes, but would like to avoid having to go to the mouse or keyboard, so that we could move smoothly between songs. Any ideas??

I continue to be impressed with all of the helpful and knowledgeable folks on this forum! Thanks very much, Pipeline for your suggestion. I had looked at some of the Conductor features, but hadn't figured out how this one works. Actually, it looks like I can usesa "2" character to have it start on the intro. A couple of the songs where we want to do this do have an intro, and a couple don't. So if I tell it to start on intro, and there's no intro, just starts first chorus. I assigned "2" to one of my foot pedals, and will test it out more fully at rehearsal today. Thanks again!
BTW, is there a specific feature to flag a post as "SOLVED", or just enter that in a response?

BTW, is there a specific feature to flag a post as "SOLVED", or just enter that in a response? I believe that you just enter that in the response, usually by editing / amending the Subject line. Trouble is, you must do it within one day of the post. It's a limit imposed by this forum software (I don't know if it could be changed) that you cannot edit older posts. You could make a new post, or send an email to Andrew, to request he modify the post title.

If you go to full screen reply, you can edit the subject line, and the most recent subject line is what shows up in the forum. I believe anyone, not just the originator can do that.
So just go to full screen reply, change the subject line to SOLVED:, add some explanatory text in the body, and submit the post. Everyone should see it as "SOLVED:" at that point.
