This is a tip more aimed towards new users, rather than more experienced users.
Start a new song, set the length at (say) 120 bars, and call it "00AASetup" and save it.
Set the speed at (say) 120 and set the volumes of all instruments at (say) 90. Set the panning and reverb to suit. Save it by pressing ALT F2, and check the boxes for volume, panning, reverb etc. Also check the relevant boxes at the bottom left relating "to save with harmony" etc.

By doing this, this "Setup song" will appear at the very start of your "BB file Open Dialog", - easy to find - and the levels will be preset, ready to input a new song. It will save you adjusting all of the settings each time you input a new song.
