Decision made.Going to buy the 2018PlusPack to upgrsde my 2017UPP. When i got 2017 I could not get the installer to do anything and ended up downloading all the RT sets one by one manually(!) and then installing them myself.Is there a set procedure I should have followed. DL installer first and it does the rest itself? Pardon what might seem obvious but I'd rather it only downloaded the NEW sets and the bonus packs rather than the whole nine yards again.

When you open the installer it should recognize which sets you already have. Then you can select the ones that are not installed and install those only.

Another way to say this is that the installer checks file dates and knows it doesn’t need to overwrite a file that didn’t change. Thus re-running an installer does no harm.
But let’s talk more about what happened last year. It sounds as if you purchased and downloaded individual Real Track sets, and yet you say you bought the Ultra Pak plus. Something doesn’t add up. Could you elaborate, please? I should mention I have no experience getting BIAB delivered this way; they send me a hard drive. Someone else who downloads as Wendy does: any suggestions?

Hi Matt.Its a year ago!doesnt time fly?but as far as I remember i downloaded the Installer and when I went to enable it I got a message across the screen that said I hd no files in that location.Go figure!It was a first time buy so of course I wouldnt have.BTW my BB is in my C dive as C:\bb which seems right and when I went and manualy installed the RTs from top to bottom(cos I had none in the first place lol)they all went there and I can see them all in C:\bb|RealTracks folder. And they all work.
I did buy the Ultra but I also bought the bonus packs that were floating arund at the time on special offer.What girl cant resist a bargain?My cunning plan,as confirmed by He Whose Money I Must Spend is to go buy it and see what happens this time.Im sureif I yell, the Mounties will come to my rescue.Do you still have Mounties?

I grew up two hours from Canada but have no clue about Mounties.
Your directory locations look fine. Let us know if the install for 2018 gives you problems. One of 2018's best features is that the /BB folder will be nicely reorganized.
Trivia: you used the old DOS pipe symbol in the path. I haven't seen that in 15 years... A typo, must be.

Hi Matt.My typings about as good as my piano playing.lol.Dont know about a DOS symbol.Was it the | instead of a slash?It WAS meant as a slash. Anyways,BB seems to know which cupboard to store stuff in thank goodness.I'll be doing the downloads later as soon as I find out where Him Indoors has hidden his puece of plastic. Wendy

Update. I have the new 2018 now and evertyhing installed without any problems using the Installer in BB. Thank you for all the help.
