Hello to all. This year I ordered BIAB 2018 in the Audiophile edition. The last 4-5 years I've downloaded the BIAB Everything Edition; for several years before that I believe I had the BIAB Ultra Package.

I have purchased a yearly upgrade every year since my first BIAB purchase - around 12 years ago... I am familiar with both running BIAB strictly off the external hard drive as well as downloading BIAB versions directly to my PC's hard drive. (Typically when my BIAB external hard drive arrived via Fed Ex I put it somewhere safe in case I needed to install BIAB again - and luckily that never happened).

I fully understand that with its huge uncompressed file sizes BIAB Audiophile cannot be downloaded/run strictly from my PC hard drive.

Speaking to experienced BIAB Audiophile owners/users: Do you have any advice for me as a complete Audiophile neophyte as to how best to set up, install and run my new BIAB Audiophile software? I know the logical thing do would be to plug in the USB cable and follow the prompts. And that's likely what I'll initially do if left on my own.

At this time I'm letting it slowly come to room temperature because it spent the last several hours waiting outside my front door in a Fed Ex bag here in Michigan. I figure the unit came into my house at a temperature under 30F degrees (-1.1C).

In a few hours it will be warmed up and hopefully any condensation will be evaporated and I'll be ready to start my Audiophile adventure. But... I've seldom been involved in any endeavor in which long time, experienced users didn't have wise advice as to how they had learned to do it smarter and better. That advice is what I'm seeking here regarding initial setup/configuration. No special "Audiophile installation" info came with the hard drive other than the standard PG Music card that comes with all BIAB hard drives.

Is there anything you Audiophile Edition folks have learned in your BIAB Audiophile journey that you wish you had known back when you set up your BIAB Audiophile the first time?? If so, I'm all ears...

Additionally, I don't yet know what BIAB update version this external BIAB hard drive will be - but I assume that I can download/install the latest update offered (505?) here on the website and be current and up-to-date?

My PC is custom built; Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1; AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor, 16.0GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 520. (I also have a new Seagate 4TB external hard drive that is pretty much unused at this point)

Thank you so much for your time/advice in advance.
