https://soundcloud.com/richrayer/a-new-lifeI became a grandfather last Monday and was inspired to write this for my new grandson. The piece was started in BiaB then ported to Finale for development and engineered in Sonar X3 where I recorded myself on clarinet for the melody.

The modulation from G major Key to Cm via B7 is wonderful.

I was happy with how the melody developed as well. The chord structure and some of the BiaB parts really helped me to realize the melody that just seemed to want to come out!

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
