When you go to "mixer" it lists some tracks--bass, piano 1, drums, guitar, and so on.

When you open a brand new file, it has a small box with an M for melody but after you pick a style, the M box disappears.
Apparently an instrument gets slotted into the melody track, or something, after you select a style. This is all correct... but I still don't get what is your question!? The default labels change according to what instrument has been placed in each slot, that's all there's to it. You can change this in preferences. if you don't like it.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
