In Band-in-a-Box for Windows use Ctrl-E or Options > Preferences then remove any checkmark in the boxes for "Show Custom Track Names and Descriptions" and "Auto-Generate Track Labels" and the track labels will always remain at their default names.
Many users requested a way for the track names to accurately reflect the name of the instrument used in each track so the two options were added. Unfortunately, many features still require use of the default track names so I choose to continue to use the default track names.
