And 2007 is pre-RealTracks (but BIAB 2007 was the version when RealDrums were introduced). So it is pretty much just MIDI-only. A lot has happened since then.
Also, I think 2007 still included the Roland VSC-3, which won't work in Windows 10 at all, so for General MIDI, you would be stuck using the built in Windows General MIDI sounds and not be able to do direct renders, or find your own General MIDI DXi or VSTi sound source.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
