Have I made a mistake trying to enter tied notes? I have been using a slur for this, with mixed results. Notice the strange upside down tie starting in the 8th bar. And it is right when that bar plays the the slanted line appears.
Firstly: Did you try to manually tie the C note together from bar 8 to bar 9?
The upside down tie / slur is definitely no correct, so I was wondering if this was added by you or the program. BiaB Should automatically add a slur to connect notes are meant to be played legato, even across bar lines.
Secondly: And in more relation to your question, the line landing on bar 13 is even more unusual.
I would freeze all tracks (Play drop-down menu > Freeze All tracks) and send the song to PG Music Support.
You shouldn't need to add your own ties to connect notes, the program should add these for you.
However, to be absolutely sure, feel free to get PG Music to check also.

It appears that the song is in a style that has had the time signatures changed to 2/4, as some of the accompaniment appears to be truncated, and this is one of the nuances of changing time signature to something other than the native recording.

Yes, I added the tie manually. I see how you could get the ties automatically, but I couldn't do that now without re-entering all the music from scratch, could I?
The style is "Prairie Solo Accompaniment. I didn't notice chords being truncated.
Could I have changed the timing to 4/4, and had half as many bars?
In BiaB, just enter where you need notes, and it handles the length of the preceding notes automatically, unless you insert rests specifically to change a note length.

Hi Lesley,
Using a slur will not give you tied notes. Tied notes are automatically created by BIAB.
If you find yourself in a situation where a rest has been entered (or appears) and you want to make that into a tied note, try the following (also see images below)...
In the below example, I want the 'G' in bar 1 (#1) to be a half-note and to have it tied to a quarter-note in bar 2 (which is presently a rest, #2).
1. Enter "Editable Notation Mode".
2. Left-click the mouse on the centre of the note-head.
3. This increases the note length to the maximum available time-length between the two existing notes (#3).
The above technique will work every time UNLESS user-inserted rests have been added. These will be coloured blue when in Editable Notation Mode. To create ties in this instance, simply click on the rest to make it a note and then hold down DELETE and left-click to delete the note. Now follow the above.
Regards, Noel
P.S. Lesley, please note that the below images of mine do not show Editable Notation Mode. For the 'click on the note' procedure to work, it is necessary to be in Editable Notation Mode as shown in Videotrack's above post.
Thanks Noel. This worked. I deleted the second note in my homemade tie/slur, then left clicked on the first note, and the second note re-appeared, correctly tied.
I also had to go in and delete the old slur. It was upside down because apparently BiaB assigns middle C to the bass clef, or something.
Unfortunately there seems to be no way on YouTube to replace one video with an updated version. But I can post it on the chromatic harmonica forum I frequent. I don't want to make a big deal of the correction on that forum, because they might think the new version sounded better, or something. I don't really know what to do to make it sound better. I did replaced the melody "vibe" with an acoustic piano midi, then turned the volume down on the melody. I turned it down partly because the midi piano didn't sound right mixed with the real tracks piano. Also because the video is intended to be an accompaniment only. I didn't turn it all the way down, because some people play chromatic harmonica entirely by ear, so I wanted to give a hint of the melody. Basically I have no idea what I doing.
