What does PG Music consider a cross-grade for BIAB?

I may be wrong, but I believe PGMusic only considers a cross-grade from the Windows version to the Mac version and vice versa.

I think you may be right, after looking more closely. But call them and find out for sure.

Crossgrade, as opposed to upgrade, means to me that you are changing from a competitive product. There used to be Jammer long ago, but I’m not aware of any current competing product.

I've seen other companies use the term for special pricing when moving from a competitive product, but I've never seen PGMusic use crossgrade in terms of a competitive product. And as best as I can recall, they never provided a cross-grade from Jammer (which I still have and occasionally play with, but it's a dead product now, like Cakewalk).
I have seen PGMusic use it in the context of switching from the Mac version to the PC version (and vice versa). And in reading the purchasing options for BIAB 2018, it "seems" to apply to moving from, say, the ProPAK to the UltraPAK.
Again, PGMusic would need to answer this definitively.

Jford, I just asked to Ember of PgMusic what package do I have to buy to update my formerly known "PRO PACK" 2017 to the more complete now called "ULTRA PAK" 2018 (formerly known as the ULTRAPLUS PAK), thinking that I should do the "crossgrade" and buy the $$ 169 ULTRA PAK to "upgrade from 2016 or earlier or CROSSGRADE".
Ember just tol me that "Actually, the right upgrade would be the UltraPAK at 149$USD for Windows".
Suffice I t to say, this saved me almost $$ 20.00!
And more important: this tell us that for PGMusic passing to PRO 2017 to ULTRA 2018 isn't even seen as a crossgrade but as a mere update.
