OP steve200 Enthusiast S Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 34	Hi Folks, I have simple needs for baib. I mostly use it for backing tracks to practice piano with. Usually i just use bass and drums tracks. For example, I set a 12 bar chord progression to repeat 40 times, and practice away. Some styles have a nice sax or guitar track. I'm wondering if there is a way i could tell baib that I want the sax track to turn on after, say, two repeats, and then mute again for two. Maybe I have to turn my 12 measure progression into 48 measures, and somehow tell the sax to turn on for measures 24-48? As you can tell, I am a total newbie, so thanks in advance for your patience. steve200

Generate your sax solo and use F5 to have it play only where you want. You may also need to unfold your song into one long form, instead of using the default 3 times through, depending on your needs. Be aware that unfolding the song may not work for the song length you've described, as you will exceed the bar limit of BiaB. However, the way you are operating now should be fine. His latest video, Convert MIDI Chords into AI Vocal Harmonies with ACE Studio and Band-in-a-Box, he explains in detail how you can use the Melodist feature in Band-in-a-Box with ACE Studio. Follow along as he goes from "nothing" to "something" with his Band-in-a-Box MIDI Melodist track, using ACE Studio to turn it into a vocal track (or tracks, you'll see) by adding lyrics for those notes that will trigger some amazing AI vocals!
