Hallo Zusammen,
ich komme mit BIAB leider noch gar nicht zurecht...
Vielleicht kann mir jemand mit einfachen Worten helfen, und mir kurz erklären wie ich vorgehen muss.
Ich will folgendes erreichen:
- Ich habe derzeit in der Musikschule OyeComoVa für Tenor Sax als Notenblatt zum Üben
- Um dies zu Hause üben zu können würde ich gerne BIAB dafür nutzen
- Wie bekomme ich jetzt ein Playalong zustande mit dem ich üben kann ?

Willkommen im Forum, agivx3!
Oye Como Va, in der Santana-Fassung (die hast du wahrscheinlich im Kopf) des Tito-Puente-Stückes ist ein Samba mit viel Percussion, Bass, Orgel und Gitarre.
Der Song besteht eigentlich nur aus zwei Akkorden. Eine Begleitband für dein Saxophonspiel kannst du in Band in a Box relativ einfach nachbauen. Abgesehen davon findest du natürlich auch einige Versionen als BiaB-Files im Netz. Google mal nach "Oye Como Va" und "Band in a Box".
Wenn du es selber eingeben willst, ist das auch nicht so schwer. Welche Band in a Box Version hast du und welche Style Paks? Ein guter Realstyle für dein Unterfangen ist "_BOSORGB.STY", ein Bossa-Style mit Orgel und Bass, oder "_MERCURY.STY", ein Latin Jazz Rock mit shchönem Gitarren-Solospiel.
Wie viel weißt du schon über das Anlegen eines Songs in Band in a Box? Du solltest dir als erstes die Form des Songs anschauen, den du aufbauen willst.
Die Form ist in diesem Fall komplex, aber vielleicht brauchts du ja für die Begleitung deines Solos nicht alle Teile?

Intro – 8 Takte
Thema – 8 Takte
Break – 4 Takte
Chorus – 8 Takte
Break – 2 Takte
Gitarrensolo A – 20 Takte
Zwischenspiel – 6 Takte
Intro Riff – 4 Takte
Montuno Teil – 8 Takte
Orgelsolo – 26 Takte
Break – 2 Takte
Chorus – 8 Takte
Crescendo – 4 Takte
Gitarrensolo B – 24 Takte
Outro – 4 Takte
Das Stück ist modal in A-Moll (Dorisch), für Saxophon natürlich dann je nach Sax entsprechend transponiert.
Es besteht im Wesentlichen lediglich aus den beiden Akkorden Am7 und D9, im Chirus und in den Soloteilen jeweils einen Takt lang im Wechsel. In der Intro und in den Breaks ein Takt Am7 und im jeweils folgenden Takt 2 Taktschläge Am7, ein Taktschlag D9, ein Taktschlag Am7 - im Wechsel.
Vielleicht kommest Du damit schon weiter, ansonsten schreib noch mal, wo es hakt, dann gehen wir mehr ins Detail.

Wow, danke für die ausführliche Antwort.
Ich habe die 2018 ohne irgendwelche Zusätze. Erfahrungen mit der Software habe ich leider nur geringe. Ich versuche jetzt erst mal Deine Antwort zu "verdauen" und im Programm umzusetzen. Zwei Dinge sind mir dabei noch unklar:
- Woher weiß man welcher Style zu einem Song passt? Anhand der Instrumente?
- Wo in der Software lege ich die Form eines Musikstückes fest?

Zur ersten Frage: Es gibt eine schöne Funktion im StylePicker (Tastenkürzel Umschalt+F9) von Band in a Box. Rechts oben findest du ein Eingabefeld "Geben Sie einen bekannten Songtitel ein ..." mit der das Programm anhand einer internen Songdatenbank die am besten passenden Styles (aus den auf deinem System installierten Styles) vorschlägt, oben in der Liste der beste, dann abwärts alternative Styles. Falls du die beiden genannten Styles nicht hast, ist auch der RealStyle _TARPIT.STY sehr gut passend. Stylepakete kannst du auch einzeln nachkaufen. Falls Du keinen passenden RealStyle findest, gibt es aber auch einige gut passende MIDI-Styles, etwa R_Bossa1.STY oder JACQUE.STY. Nur klingen die RealStyles natürlich unvergleichlich schöner als die MIDI-Styles.
Zur zweiten Frage:
Die Songform kannst Du gut über den "Song Form Maker" bzw. den "Song Form Dialog" eingeben. Klicke dazu im Werkzeugband "Tools" auf die Schaltfläche "Song Form" (bzw. bei verkleinerter Menudarstellung "Form") und dann auf "Song Form Dialog".
Falls du die Schaltfläche "Song Form" nicht siehst, verbirgt sie sich aus PLatzgründen hinter dem Zeichen ">>" am rechten Ende des Tools-Bandes.

Hi, das hat jetzt alles ganz gut funktioniert. Habe inzwischen das BIAB upgedatet und damit alle Realtracks erhalten... Den Song habe ich jetzt auch heruntergeladen (OyeComoVa)
Damit das BIAB für mein TenorSax richtig transponiert habe ich das unter Notation-Einstellungen auf +14 festgelegt. Hoffe das ist so weit richtig...
Jetzt kommt die neue Frage: Bei den Real Tracks zu diesem Lied wird die Melodie (mit den Noten) in gelb angezeigt (Also Midi?). Alle anderen Tracks habe ich mal gemutet. Dann habe ich den Track gefreezed und wollte jetzt kein Vibrafon als Instrument, sondern z.B. ein Tenor Sax. Ich habe den entsprechenden Realtrack ausgewählt und er wird auch angezeigt. Gespielt hat er dann aber immer Klavier ?!?! Das habe ich nicht kapiert... Irgendeine Idee dazu ?

Hallo.
Ich weiß ja nicht genau, welche Datei du im Netz gefunden hast. Es gibt ja aus rechtlichen Gründen von PGMUSIC direkt keine offiziellen Fassungen (inkl. Melodie) von urheberrechtlich geschützten Originalstücken für "Band in a Box". Du hast also vermutlich eine Version gefunden, die jemand mit Akkorden und Melodie selbst geschrieben und ins Netz gestellt hat.
Du hast recht, wenn die Melodiespur gelb angezeigt wird, ist es (was ja auch klar ist, es ist ja eine Melodiespur mit klar definierten MElodie-Noten) eine MIDI-Spur. Jetzt kommt es darauf an, über welchen Soft-Synth du aus Band in a Box den Sound erzeugst. Nutzt du VST oder DXI oder einen Softsynthie wie GS Wavetable oder Winlive? Ggf. findest du diese Info unter MIDI/Audio-Treibereinstellungen. Gib das mal an, dann sehen wir weiter, was zu tun ist.

Ok da kenne ich mich noch Null aus, habe aber jetzt mal ein VST für Saxophon gesucht und dies als Plugin eingebunden DSK VST. Ist kostenlos und sollte Tenor können. Es geht auch eine grafische Oberfläche bei der Konfiguration des Plugins auf.
Die Melodie Spur um die es geht heisst Vibes 1. Leider habe ich es jetzt nicht geschafft das Plugin jetzt da zum laufen zu bringen... Ich sehe dort nur die HiQuality Sforzando Addins, da ist aber kein Sax dabei...

Ich habe mal die BiaB-Datei, die du vermutlich gefunden hast, gegoogelt und geladen. Tatsächlich ist (aus mir noch nicht ganz klaren Gründen) diese Datei nicht in Ordnung, weil es tatächlich nicht möglich ist, der Melodie-Spur einen MIDI-Patch zuzuweisen. Da spielt immer das Piano, egal welchen Patch du angibst. Möglicherweise ist die BiaB-Datei mal aus dem Import einer MIDI-Datei entstanden oder die Melodiespur wurde als MIDI importiert und dabei evtl. Patch-Changes mit importiert, die du nicht mehr rausbekommst. Interessant ist auch, dass die Melodie, wenn sie auf Solo gestellt wird, einen Ganzton tiefer klingt, als im Ensemble.
Du hast also im Prinzip alles richtig gemacht, mit der Datei stimmt definitiv etwas nicht.
Ich habe die Melodie aus der Datei als MIDI exportiert und bekomme sie auch problemlos wieder in die Melodiespur importiert. Wenn ich sie aber in eben diesen Song importiere bleibt alles wie gehabt, jeder Patchwechsel wird trotzdem nur als Piano gespielt.
Wenn ich die MIDI aber in einen neuen Song importiere, dann ist die Melodie problemlos auch mit anderen Instrumentenpatches zu versehen, so wie es sein soll.
Mein Vorschlag, ic h hab ausprobiert, so funktioniert es:
1) Exportiere nur die Melodie (Spur auf Solo stellen) als MIDI-File (Taste F6)
2) Gib die Akkorde in Band in Box neu ein, das geht relativ rasch, wenn du im Notationsfenster des Songs von 1 bis 186 alles markierst und über Kopieren in die ZWsichenablage legst.
3) Jetzt über "Datei - Neu" einen neuen Song anlegen, die alte Datei verwerfen.
4) Die Songeckwerte analog angeben mit "Beginn Takt 1, Ende Takt 184, 1 Strophe, Tempo 140, ev. Feel, 4/4-Takt", ich würde außerdem z.B. den _Mercury.Sty wählen.
4) Dann über Einfügen (CTRL+V) alle Akkorde und Marker in den neuen Song koopieren
5) Dann über Datei - Import - Import über MIDI-Datei die Melodie wieder in den neuen Song importieren.
Voilà ... so hat es bei mir geklappt.

Vielen Dank für die Hilfe - war schon am verzweifeln... Ich probiere das mal aus.
Die Melodiespur wollte ich eigentlich nur zur Kontrolle haben. Mir ging es eigentlich darum nur die Akkorde in der passenden Tonlage zum Üben der Melodie zu haben. Aber irgendwie hört sich was ich dazu spiele, immer schräg an, also scheinen die Tonlage Einstellungen noch nicht zu stimmen.
Also bei den Notationseinstellungen habe ich ja 14+ eingestellt (TenorSax Bb Instrument). Bei dem Lied zeigt er mir bei der Tonlage jetzt G/G (Für was sind da eigentlich 2 Einsteller?) an. Auf dem Papiernotenblatt habe ich drei # - also ### und der erste Ton fängt mit H an. Das ist die Tonlage die ich brauche. Ich habe dann immer mit CTRL-ALT 5/6 versucht die richtige Tonlage einzustellen, aber es hört sich verschoben an.

Hallo,
entschuldigt, daß ich mich einmische. Aber: Ich habe Oye.. auch schon gespielt. agivx3 schreibt, daß seine Noten 3-mal # als Vorzeichen habe. Oyxe ist im Orginal in A-Dorisch und das hat die gleichen Vorzeichen wie G-Dur also 1-mal #. Wenn man im Quintenzirkel von Bb-Dur nach rechts geht dann ist das Bb->F->C->G. Ein Schritt im Quintenzirkel nach rechts ist ein #. Bei einem Bb-Sax sind das deswegen 3-mal #. Passt also. Und bei einem Instrument, das in Bb gestimmt ist, hat man auf dem Notenblatt ein C aber es klingt ein Bb, also ein Ton tiefer. Meine Noten fangen bei Oye mit einem A an, das muß dann für Bb-Sax als H notiert sein. Passt auch. Das ist schon in der Orginaltonart. Also müssen die Harmonien Am7 und D9 passen.

Es gibt im Netz eine gute Analyse von Oye Como Va: http://decipheringguitartheory.com/resources/song-analyses/oye-como-va-santana/Dort sind das harmonische Schema und auch die Solis sehr kenntnisreich auseinander genommen worden, aber natürlich nicht transponiert für Tenor, sondern im C-Schlüssel. Du wirst das aber aber relativ leicht umsetzen können auf Tenor (Bb = H). Der Soloteil ist harmonisch sehr einfach aufgebaut und in Band in a Box schnell nachgebaut. Ein Takt Am7 im Wechsel mit einem Takt D9 (um 1/8 vorgezogen auf der "Vier-und" des Am7-Taktes). Wenn du also nur eine Solobegleitung benötigst, erstellst du in Band in a Box einen neuen Song, mit zum Beispiel 16 Takten und 4 Strophen Dann tippst Du im Chordsheetview in Takt 1 ein "Am7" und in Takt 2 "^D9". Das Dach "^" sorgt dafür, dass das D9 vorgezogen, also schon auf der "Vier-und" gespielt wird. Das wiederholst du für alle folgenden Takte (geht auch per Copy und Paste). Dann wählst du noch den passenden Style z.B. "_MERCURY.STY" oder oder _RDHO_LS.STY" oder einen anderen deiner Wahl und - voilá - die Begleitband steht. Dazu spielst du am einfachsten pentatonisch dein Solo über "A-Dorisch", das ist auf Deinem Tenorsax also ganz richtig "H-Dorisch". Die Skala von H-Dorisch ist H, C#, D, E, F#, G# und A. Die entsprechende H-Dorisch-Pentatonik sind also auf Deinem Sax die Töne H, D, E, F# und G# (wobei Carlos Santana bei seinen Soli mitunter noch das G als Leitton zum G# spielt). Ich habe dir mal die Begleitung als Band-in-a-Box-File geschrieben und hier ( Solobegleitung als Band in Box File) abgelegt und so ( MP3 der Begleitung mit Style _MERCURY.STY) sollte das klingen. Ich habe das Gitarrensolo im Hintergrund dringelassen, das gibt dir vielleicht ein paar Anregungen. Du kannst die Spur aber natürlich auch abstellen (über das kleine "M" für "Mute" im Mixer). Das funktioniert jetzt gut, nur den _Mercury.sty finde ich nicht, den sollte ich doch beim UltraPak haben, oder ?
Inzwischen läuft das BIAB auch auf dem Ultra-Mini PC in meinem neuen relativ schalldichten DIY Proberaum und ich kann endlich üben wann ich will...
Danke nochmal für die Akkorde. Jetzt zeigt er als Tonart auch Bb an. Morgen spiele ich mal dazu.

Prima, freut mich, dass ich dir weiterhelfen konnte. Der _MERCURY.sty war ein Style im Xtra-Pak 2017, ich habe noch mal nachgesehen. Er ist wahrscheinlich deshalb nicht im Ultrapak 2018 enthalten. Einíge Styles hat PGMusic in XTRAPaks als Goodies für Frühbesteller geliefert. Wenn er dir gefällt, kannst du ihn vermutlich bei PGMusic gesondert für wenig Geld bekommen, frag mal bei sales@pgmusic.com nach.
Ansonsten kannst du natürlich auch einfach einen anderen deiner RealStyles nehmen. Gib in den Suchfilter oben rechts im Stylepicker Oye Como Va ein und das Programm zeigt dir in einer Liste passend Styles auf deinem Rechnern an. ganz oben die am besten passenden.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
