For guitar, piano, drums, everything would, and does, seem to work out fine, ignoring the "jumpy" video which of course is completely understandable. To me, the "jumpy" video is the elephant in the room.  YMMV. Yeah, the whole thing seems like an oddity/proof of concept with little practical application. Probably took a lot of effort to make but I just don't see the need.
