<...snip...>Actually the DAW in Real Band is about all I really need <...> I still use Master Tracks Pro for MIDI, then port to Power Tracks Pro Audio to finish things. If PTPro had the groove filters that MTPro has, I wouldn't need anything else for my uses. I make backing tracks for my duo. I want to use synth sounds instead of Real Tracks for two reasons (1) I don't want them to sound karaoke-ish and (2) I can edit things in MIDI that are impossible to do in audio at this date. Then I run the mix out from my MIDI modules into a second computer with PTPro Audio and use the wonderful editing tools to polish the mix 'master' it so it matches my other tracks. After that I use CDex to make a 193kbps, Q=0 mp3 for use on stage. On stage the real joy is when Leilani and I play our guitars, synths voices and for me sax and flute on top of my 'band' and have a great time making music together. Notes
