Is there a way to prevent BiaB from always wanting to be the main application on the screen? It seems to always want to be on top. This is annoying when I'm trying to toggle between DAW, lyric sheets, etc, when writing.
Thank you for the reply but no, that wasn't it. I'm familiar with the DAW plug-in mode and use it as a feature all the time. I usually keep my DAW plug-in mode window a minimal size anyway, so I can see what's happening on the BiaB screen and on my DAW at the same time. But this occurs also when I'm not even using the DAW, say I'm working on a song and going back and forth between a lyric or lead sheet and BiaB. It even happens if I close BiaB and open a fresh instance of the program.
This has only started since I downloaded the 2018 version. For whatever reason, BiaB wants to dominate the screen. I have to minimize it manually each time I want to switch between windows. It's a small thing but it interferes with the creative workflow so it bugs me a bit.
Are you meaning the entire BiaB program, or just the mixer?
If you close the mixer, does BiaB still want to Stay On Top?

I have a DAW, a Notepad, BIAB, and this browser window open. I can switch correctly among the four and each is full screen when I do so, with the focus on top. Even the BIAB mixer no longer stays on top.
Please write down the steps you take to produce the problem.

The update to Build 512 seems to have fixed the issue. I'm now able to switch between screens with no issues. I know this was the first time it's ever happened to me and I've been using BiaB since 2011. The behavior was so strange. I'm just glad it's taken care of (knock on wood). I sometimes write with BiaB and having to manually minimize the BiaB window to get to a lyric sheet on my computer was an extra step that got in the way (if only slightly) of the creative workflow.
As for the steps I used... I simply opened BiaB. I know that sounds like a gross over-simplification but the moment BiaB was opened, it took over and wouldn't allow me to click on any icon in my task bar to switch back and forth. It wouldn't work with an Alt-Shft-Tab either. BiaB wanted to be the primary, and in most cases, the ONLY window open. But thanks everyone for the tips. I greatly appreciate it!
