Here are my settings. These are not particularly based on thorough testing; I just happen to have these. At the moment I AM getting beat one of 1,3, 1234.

Audible lead in - checked
Volume 64
Instrument - Open hi conga 63
Pattern - 1-3 1234
Smart lead in - NOT checked
