Hey Donny, I was in NE Oklahoma over last weekend to see this Frank Lloyd Wright building erected in the 1950s. We did the tour and stayed in one of the hotel rooms. It's a very beautiful building. The green portions are made of copper and Mr. Wright intentionally used the copper knowing it would turn green. He wanted it to represent a tree sticking up out of the forest. As far as the drone, I was impressed that it stayed as steady as it did considering we were getting 40 mph wind gusts. See the American flag blowing on the building.
Very impressive, Steve. Obviously that drone had a good operator
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
amazing stability, given the wind! I guess that's why the good drones cost so much more than the cheap ones. I bought a cheap one several years ago, and the lack of stability (even in mild breeze) makes it totally useless for video (which is why I bought it)
Great job on the orbit considering the wind. What bird to you fly?
As much as I would like to take credit for excellent pilot skills, I cannot. What makes these drones so great is that all of these features they have, they do on their own. I do very little piloting. Much less chance for human error.
In this one, I piloted the drone above the center of the building as you see at the start of the video. This was to create the center point for orbit. Once I locked that point in I backed the drone out about 200 ft. to create the radius distance. From there, I just told it to go and set the drone for full speed. The entire orbit was done in automation.
Great job Steve. I have a P3 pro, P4 pro, and an inspire 2. I personally prefer the P4 Pro to the others. I'm thinking of selling the I2 because it's just not great to fly IMO.
You sir, have balls to fly in that kind of wind. I am a TOTAL wimp when it comes to wind.
Thank God for automation. I like DJI software, but also like Litchi.
Again, that's impressive work! Well done!
Chad (Hope that makes it easier)

Cool, HTL, another forum member I can geek out with on drones..... Agree on Litchi. I use that one to plot courses. I will build the course online, download it to my phone, then send it to the drone......
Here's one from last fall where I used Litchi to build a course out over the Mississippi River in NW Illinois, my Dad's place. Total flight distance was over 4 miles. Litchi course map shown at the beginning of video.
Nice job with that drone! That is some spectacular footage you managed to capture. I've never used one myself, but I have a feeling I've break it somehow, if it operates anything like a toy helicopter does.
That's so cool! In Ottawa the Parliament buildings had that infamous green to them as well -- specifically on the roofs. They replaced them in 2015 I think with new copper roofs, so it will be a while before you can see that familiar green shade again. But your post reminded me of that!
