I would probably be older school synth based and techno music, like The Thompson Twins, Howard Jones, Thomas Dolby, and to a degree Talking Heads. I like the "moving parts" aspect of techno. Drum machines, MIDI bass..... I would have killed somebody and stepped over the corpse to have a Fairlight when they were the thing. Was (Not Was) was one of my favorite bands EVER because so much of their music had the technology flair to it.
Great topic. Eddie there was a great interview with Don Was recently on Sound Opinions podcast. I assume you know he is now running Blue Note.
