Danny,

I've never used the ignore button before, and I don't plan on using it for the reasons you mentioned.

If a thread is inappropiate, then let PG kill it. But I do find it slightly offensive when a member tries to be the "Forum Police".
As stated earlier in this thread, this forum belongs to PG Music.

So if a member comes along and tries to "put someone straight" on the rules, I think they are totally out of line.

It's different if a spammer comes along and tries to put something up. It's another thing entirely if a standing member brings up something that is outside of the "rules".

I look at them the same way I would look at someone in elementary school who was a "tattletale".
Get a life. If somebody is doing something wrong, then it's up to the teacher to catch them. Not a "snitch" who is trying to set them straight.

Bob,

For what it is worth I understood your point from the git go and for the most part agree with you, but shouldn't the "tattletale” have the same right (rhetorical) after all he/she is just speaking their mind regarding the rules as they see them. And at our age should we really require a "teacher" to catch us breaking a forum rule, or should we as adults understand PG Music’s rules and show enough respect for the forum host and our fellow members just do the right thing and abide by it, again rhetorical.

Bottom-line I could care less if PG Music decided to expand their list of off topic subjects that can be discussed on the forum. However my gut tells me it would be a mistake as they may inadvertently began to be known for something other than their wonderful products. But as said quite a few times in this thread it is 100% their call.

See already I have thought too much on this subject taking my time and energy away from all of those "old click in intros" Russ has been breaking my chops to correct. Just kidding Russ.

PS: Russ I finally downloaded Audacity, it works great to silence those old click in intros - Thanks Again!

I'm outta here - Until Later,
