Okay. So I decided to wait to resolve the cloned hard drive issue and just brought my original drive from audiophile 18+ and plugged it into my i7 Dell. Ran the setup authorized the drive. Entered an intro and a couple verses and choruses of a Celtic ballad I'm messing around with. Selected the search for Realstuless with info and clicked on one to preview. No sound. Same result from other styles High selected in highlighted and double-clicked. Yellow information box lower right said miscellaneous error yada yada yada. I did click okay then generated who played the song and it was apparently the proper selected file but I couldn't hear the preview. In the dill I selected the Realtek ASIO drivers. Anybody encounter this before and found a quick and easy solution???  WSS

Have you tried the MME drivers? Be sure to check the audio driver set up in Biab as well.

Steve, It's probably because you're using ASIO as your driver. Since most ASIO drivers close off all other sound output except for the device using ASIO, it's likely that Windows cannot play the preview audio because that uses Media Player. BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.... save your present preferences so that you can get back to them if needed. The command is under "Options | Save Preferences". Now to continue... Go to the link below and set up everything EXACTLY as I show. This is the best basic set up for isolating problems.
