I don't have answer to most of those questions.

A workaround I would try is to reduce the repeats from four to three or even two. Then use the cut, copy, paste and insert functions of a digital audio workstation to copy one repeats worth of audio and insert the audio where needed. Reduce the repeats to two and there might be enough bars to create some interesting bridges or transitions that will make copying and inserting the audio easier.
