Anyone having trouble saving parameters for "pg vinyl" from Cakewalk Pro Audio/Sonar, or an other program that uses the direct x plug in? I can save parms and assign a name from BB2008.5, but when I call the PG Vinyl program from Cakewalk, it only saves the default parms, never my changed settings.

hi.
i'm not surprised.
i wouldnt expect settings to be saved in a different host.
there would have to be some exchange i would think tween
cake developers n pg developers for such to take place
i suspect.
if your trying to fix up a vinyl record ..
do you have pg's powertraks ??
you have 48 traks you can use to do all sorts of things.
just import the wave file from cake.
then plug in pg vinyl.

You have to set and save the parameters in Sonar.
I’m using Sonar 5.2PE with the “pg vinyl” tool and I can save the parameters.

Each program uses its own method of filing that info.
There may be a way to move that data from one to another with a copy 'n paste from one file to the other, but I don't know the particulars.
Easiest and SAFEST way to go would be to open the plugin inside PTPA and jot down the settings for the ones you want to use inside Sonar, then open the plugin in Sonar, set it to one of those settings and name it the same from inside Sonar.
BEST way to use any plugin is to learn what each control does and how to use them and from then on you don't need nor want default settings, you set the thing for each circumstance using your ears and your brainpower to achieve an optimum situation.
