Okay - just a quick couple of questions for the group.

Why are you making (and assuming recording/distributing) music?

I'm am not recording any music. I did write a compose a piece once, but I never finished it.

Are you supplementing your live performances with backing tracks?

Because I am a solo artist, I allways play with backing tracks. I'd like to performas a trio or duo some day.

Are you recording your songs to create something to sell at your gigs?

I got a degree in music engineering, but most of my recording is creating MIDI tracks for gigs.

Are you strictly into the studio/recording side and don't perform live?

No, I am not just recording music. In fact, I want to be a live sound engineer, possibly fornt of house (FOH)

I
Or do you want it to develop into your livelihood?

This is my livleyhood. I play in an ensemble that gets gigs a couple of times a year and try to play out when I can or if my teacher can get me gig, which is really how I get gigs

In a nutshell - what is your end game? Where do you see your music next year or in 5 years?

In five years, I would like be able to have at least one album recorded, play original music from that album, play in a duo or trio, and be able to live stream all my gigs via Youtube to get people to come watch me live. I also would like to be able to become a steel band director for an adult steel band as I want to work with people who are serious and are at the same level as me. In orther words, I don't want to have to dumb down myself to explain things to little children or middle schoolers. One last thing my parents suggested was to own a percussion store that sold things that regular big music store don't carry.
