I use what I can actually get to work properly. Audacity. I've got a very nice M-Audio sound card and a Shure PG57 mic and a 1990 Les Paul Studio Guitar. The UX2 has "phantom power" . The UX1 doesn't.Running your mic through the UX2 reduces the latency to almost zero. My card needs the phantom power.

The amp for that song is a Line 6 Insane with a Noise Gate and a Rez Synth. Not sure if he still does, but Pat Methaney ( one of my all time favs) used to use a guitar synth with great results. Not sure if he still does. Was all the rage in the mid-lates 90's if memory serves. I'm still experimenting with it to get a sound out of it that isn't so over powering.
