Hi Bryan, I know it's frowned on around here telling people to R.T.F.M., but in this case I think it appropriate. You are trying to record audio with no idea about a mixer's basic operation, let alone gain staging a signal. First, read the mixer manual. It will explain how to connect the USB mixer, then you should read this: https://www.sweetwater.com/insync/gain-staging/This is an amazing hobby, but you will get more out of it knowing some basics.
