'Play correctly' stands out to me in the OP.

For odd time styles BiaB uses the time span of a 4/4 measure/tempo over a 5/4 style so the beats on a click don't line up .. then BiaB does the math to make things work (have 5/4 play over a 4/4 timespan). Too complicated for me. I want the bar lines, events, metronome and click to all make sense.

That said, the styles for Take 5 in BiaB do seem pretty nice as far as the end result .. they just are not technically correct for timing/syncing when a click or metronome is used. None of the 'odd time' styles actually adjust the time signature, they instead seem to make the audio 'appear' to fit in a 4/4 time signature.

I can't even get BiaB to display a 5/4 time signature.

On the other hand, Realband does work with 5/4, 7/4, 11/16 .. fairly easily.
