That functionality (importing lyrics when reading in a MIDI file) is currently not present on the Mac version. It was scheduled for this release, but didn't quite make it. It is expected to be added in the first (free) 2018 patch, expected to be released in a week or so.
I have since returned it for a refund. I will revisit in a month to see if the functionality that I am after, is there. I will repurchase as soon as this release is obtainable.
