Is the drums icon green?

If so remember, there is midi on the non green tracks and audio on the green tracks.

Play a song or sound file. If you don't hear it check the audio panel, maybe it's muted or turned down.

You didn't say which o/s but find the audio controls for the whole system, band in a box output runs through that. Check the sliders for midi and audio.

If you are using an outside sound system, like pa system, etc. all sliders should be at maximum.
