When making many changes and tweaks to an arrangement that uses RealTracks it can take a long wait while real tracks get regenerated. Specially if there are several choruses in the song.

MIDI is of course much faster. So I propose a "FAST-AUDITION MODE" - where temporarily:

1) all RealTracks get replaced by the best-match MIDI equivalent.

and maybe also ( optionally? )

2) Chorus-count gets switched to 1 ( in order that as few chorus have to be rebuilt ).

Then this could be used to quickly flesh out a chord progression - or for quickly making edits in the new PIANO-ROLL-EDITOR-IN-BIAB-MAC!!!! and auditioning how it sounds against the progression.

Then when the arrangement is firmed up - the fast-audition-mode can be turned off - and a proper generate of everything in the style - real tracks and all can be made to hear the result in its final form.

This will cut out a lot of waiting when one just wants to get the chord progression right and issn bothered about stylistic or sonic fidelity.
