You’re still assuming that there’s a standard and all that PGM has to do is conform. There isn’t the way most open source freeware works.

PG Music should list the App(s) with which its ABC files are compatible. To expect it to conform with anything just because there’s a .abc suffix ... that’s an unrealistic expectation. There is no real standard.
